3. Using the Breast Pump

Before pumping #

1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and make sure your breasts are clean. Gently squeeze a little milk from each nipple to make sure the milk ducts are not blocked.
2. Before each use, check that the breast pump set is clean and not defective. Always check for cracks etc.
3. Relax in a comfortable position and lean forward slightly. If necessary, use pillows to support your back. It is wise to drink plenty of fluids, so have a glass of water nearby.

Starting to pump #

1. Press the silicone funnel firmly against your breast. Leave no space and make sure your nipple is centered. Hold the Breast Pump in an upright position. Be careful not to change the position of the Breast Pump and the breast, or the Breast Pump will have no suction

2. Press the power button to start the Breast Pump.

3. The Breast Pump has 3 modes. Use the button “M’ to switch between “” (Massage), “” (Expression) and “” (Auto).

The massage mode you normally use to alert the body to release milk and relax. The expression mode stimulates Breast Pump through fast and deep pumping rhythms. Both Massage and Expression modes feature 12 adjustable levels, which you can increase with the “+” button and decrease with the “-” button, depending on your preference.

In Auto mode, the Breast Pump will first start Massage mode, automatically increasing from level 1 to 6. Then the Breast Pump will switch to Expression mode, which will automatically increase from level 7 to 8, where it will remain for the rest of the session.

4. Once you are done pumping, press the power button to turn off the Breast Pump. After this, you can carefully remove the Breast Pump from your breast.

TIPS #

1. The unit has a memory function for Massage mode and Expression mode. When you turn the Breast Pump on again, it will start at the level of your last session. Please note: this does not apply to Auto mode: it always starts at the beginning.
2. It is advisable to use massage mode first to stimulate milk production. Once milk production starts, you can switch to expression mode.
3. Do not worry if your milk does not flow immediately. Just relax and continue to pump.
4. The first few times you use the Breast Pump, you may need to use a higher expression mode to get your milk flowing. If necessary, you can also use the massage mode to pump.
5. During Breast Pump, you can switch between massage and expression modes. Press the ‘M’ to change modes.
6. You do not need to use all modes, only those that are comfortable for you.
7. Stop pumping when 180 ml is reached, and pour the breast milk into the bottle to prevent leaks.
8. 30 minutes after turning on the motor, the unit automatically turns off.
